FUNDAMENTALS
The MMA fundamental sessions are 16 classes, 2 a week spanning over a 8 week period that covers all the basics of MMA so you can comfortably move on to the main session. These sessions are on a constant re-occuring cycle meaning you can start the course whenever suits you best and complete the 16 sessions in any order. The 16 sessions cover the following:
Session 1: Basics of Striking Punching
Session 2: Basics of Striking Kicking
Session 3: Basics of Striking Combinations
Session 4: Basics of Wrestling Distance
Session 5: Basics of Wrestling Clinch
Session 6: Basics of Mount Top (Groundwork)
Session 7: Basics of Mount Bottom (Groundwork)
Session 8: Basics of Side Control Top (Groundwork)
Session 9: Basics of Side Control Bottom (Groundwork)
Session 10: Basics of Guard Top (Groundwork)
Session 11: Basics of Guard Bottom (Groundwork)
Session 12: Basics of Half Guard Top (Groundwork)
Session 13: Basics of Half Guard Bottom (Groundwork)
Session 14: Basics of Back Mount Top (Groundwork)
Session 15: Basics of Back Mount Bottom (Groundwork)
Session 16: Basics of Sparring (Groundwork)
We ask that all students looking to start with 12 Gauge MMA and have no previous experience in MMA, BJJ or No-Gi grappling (6 months minimum) to complete these sessions. It will help build the strong foundations needed to move onto the novice sessions. The fundamental sessions run on a Monday and Wednesday night 18.00 - 19.00
